Below I have listed some general information about our school that you may find helpful.
1. School Hours: The school opens for children at 8:45 A.M., but class does not
actually begin until 9:00 A.M. Attendance will be taken at 9:05 A.M. Any child who
arrives after this time must report to the office for a tardy slip.

2. Money: Please send separate envelopes any time you send money to school. On
the envelope, please include the following: childs name, childs grade, teachers
name, what the money is for (pictures, lunch, etc.), and the amount. Please do
not let your child bring loose money to school.
3. Lunch Money: Lunch is $1.75, which includes milk. Milk by itself is .40¢. Lunch
accounts may be set up for your child by sending in $8.75 for the week. You
may send in any amount to go in your childs lunch account, and each days
purchase will be deducted from their account. If necessary, a record of their
purchases may be obtained through the office.

4. Medication: ALL medicine will be kept and administered in the office. This includes
non-prescription medication such as aspirin, cough drops, cold medicine, etc. In
order for any medicine to be administered, a signed note must be sent in with all
instructions.

5. Dismissal: You must send in a signed note with your child if his or her method of
going home is to be changed. A child without a note will not be allowed to
change their usual method of going home.
6. Interims/Report Cards: Interims are sent home at the midpoint of each nine week
period. This will let your know your childs progress in each subject along with
the areas that need improvement. Please sign these and return them within two
days. Report cards will go home every nine weeks. Please sign the report card
envelope and return them within two days.
7. Supplies: Please check with your child on a periodic basis to make sure he/she
has all of his/her necessary supplies. Also, requests for extra supplies for
various class projects may be sent home with your child from time to time. Think
you in advance for helping out in this area and adding to the success of our
class!
8. Illness: If your child becomes ill during the day, you will be notified. If your child has
a fever, he or she must leave school for the well being of the other children.
Please do not send them back to school until they have been free of fever for 24
hours. If your child doesnt feel well, they will not do well on that days activities.

9. Communication: Please feel free to write me a note concerning any question or
problem you may have concerning your child. You may also send me an e-mail
using the link below. Also, you may call the school office at 867-7071 to leave
me a message. I will return your call during my planning period or after school.
Please note that when messages are left late in the day, it is possible I will not
receive them until the following morning.
10. Birthday: You are welcome to send individually wrapped, store bought goodies
as a birthday treat for your child. These can be distributed at lunch, at the end of
the day, or on Friday during our free time. Health Department regulations state
that no homemade food items may be sent to school.
